Bradley Simpson vs Alastair Watkins

Boxing Daily Report from the Jon Crosby promoted show at Luna Park Big Top, Sydney,  taking place on 20/10/2035:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Bradley Simpson (3 - 0) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Alastair Watkins(3 - 11 - 6) from Adelaide, Australia.  Simpson weighed in at 147 pounds, while Watkins weighed in at 146 pounds and 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Inigo Macina, and the three ringside judges are Ethan Zeatounian, John Kokes and Bart Connor.  

Round 1: 

Watkins gets on the inside.  Simpson lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Simpson holds on to his opponent.  Simpson leans on his opponent using all his weight. Simpson hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Simpson about fouling.  
Simpson lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Simpson drives a right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Watkins advances into close range and walks Simpson onto the ropes.  Simpson digs in a right hook to Watkins's ribcage.  Simpson clinches his opponent.  Simpson hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. Simpson pushes his forearm into Watkins's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Simpson closes the distance and connects with a left hook.  
Simpson lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Simpson clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Simpson pushes his forearm into Watkins's face.  The referee warns Simpson and breaks the clinch.  
Simpson lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Simpson is on target with a right uppercut.  
Watkins steps inside.  Simpson lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Simpson is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.

Simpson sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a stiff jab.  
Simpson lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Simpson wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Watkins dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Simpson gets on the inside.  Watkins pivots from in front of his opponent.  Watkins throws a right uppercut, but Simpson holds on to his opponent.  Simpson leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Simpson uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Watkins's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Simpson about fouling.  
Simpson is on target with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Watkins's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Watkins's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Watkins's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
