Josh Poaro vs Chris Bothwell

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Vector Arena, Auckland,  taking place on 17/11/2035:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV One, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Josh Thunder Poaro (13(4) - 5(1) - 1) who hails from Manukau, New Zealand and Chris Bothwell(16 - 14(5)) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Both Poaro and Bothwell weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Henry Ngahoro, and the three ringside judges are Harvey Dorch, Lloyd Rease and Kenzie Anderson.  

Round 1: 

Poaro closes the distance and lands a firm left hook.  
Bothwell quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Poaro hits home with a sharp cross.  
Poaro lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.

Poaro lands a sharp left hook.  As Bothwell tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Poaro has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused bad swelling  around the left eye.  
Poaro cuts off the ring, trapping Bothwell on the ropes.  Poaro pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.

Bothwell attempts to land a jab, but Poaro slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Bothwell walks Poaro down, trapping him on the ropes.  Bothwell attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Poaro's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Poaro lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Poaro gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Poaro gets on the inside and connects with a right hook.  
Poaro lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

Poaro is on target with a solid cross.  Poaro throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Poaro's body.
