Steven Johnston vs Ricky Nelsen

Boxing Daily Report from the Sarkodee Promotions promoted show at Dale McLain Gym, Minneapolis,  taking place on 28/11/2035:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Minnesota Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Steven Johnston (4 - 6 - 4) who hails from Saint Paul, USA and Ricky Nelsen(19(4) - 4 - 1) from Saint Paul, USA.  Johnston weighed in at 139 pounds and 10 ounces, while Nelsen weighed in at 139 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Zachary Mattus, and the three ringside judges are Nathan Langer, Brad Dey and Zachary Mattus.  

Round 1: 

Nelsen advances into close range.  Nelsen lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Nelsen walks Johnston into a corner.  Nelsen lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Johnston's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Johnston's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Nelsen gets on the inside.  Nelsen digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  As Nelsen tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Johnston dabs at his face checking for damage.
