Jim Daly vs Jonathan Smyth

Boxing Daily Report from the ALT Promotions promoted show at ALT Gym, Cardiff,  taking place on 10/11/2035:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Jim Daly (0 - 0) who hails from Edinburgh, UK and Jonathan Smyth(1 - 1) from London, UK.  Daly weighed in at 129 pounds and 1 ounces, while Smyth weighed in at 129 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dale Carrick, and the three ringside judges are Inigo Rury, Glyn Bowen and Clinton Birney.  

Round 1:

Smyth is looking to close the distance.  Daly sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Smyth drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Daly drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Smyth is looking to close the distance.  Daly is on target with a left uppercut.  
Daly steps away from his opponent and lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Daly leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Smyth tries to land a left uppercut, but Daly blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Smyth's liver.

Daly advances into close range and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.

Daly closes the distance.  Smyth throws a right hook, but Daly holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks Daly's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Daly is on target with a right uppercut.  Daly clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Smyth pushes his forearm into Daly's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Daly switches the action to the outside and is on target with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Smyth's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Smyth's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Daly is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He then lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Daly lands a sharp jab.  
Daly throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Daly ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Daly pushes his forearm into Smyth's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Daly about fouling.
