Cruz Vences vs Ramirez Lizardo

Boxing Daily Report from the Rico Boxing promoted show at San Juan Lima, San Juan,  taking place on 06/12/2035:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Puerto Rico-San Juan Minimumweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cruz Vences (8 - 6(3) - 5) who hails from San Juan, Puerto Rico and Ramirez Lizardo(3 - 1) from San Juan, Puerto Rico.  Both Vences and Lizardo weighed in at 105 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fausto Pinero, and the three ringside judges are Xaverius Fallas, Joaquin Salaz and Aimon Linares.  

Round 1: 

Lizardo cuts off the ring, trapping Vences in the blue corner.  Lizardo lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  Lizardo attempts to land a right hook, but Vences blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Lizardo advances into close range.  Vences tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp cross.

Vences hits home with a right hook.  As Lizardo tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Vences dabs at his face checking for damage.  Vences has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
