Ian McNeill vs Jack Pevey

Boxing Daily Report from the Matchroom promoted show at Birmingham Boguslawski, Birmingham,  taking place on 14/12/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport UK, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ian McNeill (2 - 0) who hails from London, UK and Jack Pevey(24(18) - 1) from Coventry, UK.  McNeill weighed in at 126 pounds, while Pevey weighed in at 125 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Matt McFee, and the three ringside judges are Andy Dudgeon, Ian Lowery and Ronald McCauley.  

Round 1: 

McNeill lands with a spiteful jab.  
McNeill finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Pevey is looking to close the distance and is on target with a firm left hook.  
Pevey gets on the inside and connects with a sharp right hook.  
McNeill is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab.  
McNeill steps to the outside and connects with a cross.  McNeill throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm right hook.  
Pevey is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
McNeill digs in a left hook to Pevey's ribs.  
McNeill lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Pevey holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Pevey pushes his forearm into McNeill's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pevey walks his opponent down, trapping him in the red corner.  McNeill tries to land a left hook, but Pevey blocks the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Pevey lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Pevey clinches his opponent.  Pevey pushes his forearm into McNeill's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Pevey about fouling.  
Pevey lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Pevey digs in a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Pevey clinches his opponent.  Pevey leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pevey closes the distance and is on target with a sharp right hook to McNeill's body.  
McNeill is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands with a spiteful jab.  McNeill tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Pevey closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
McNeill is looking to keep his distance and lands with a sharp jab.  McNeill attempts to land a jab, but Pevey sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
McNeill lands with a spiteful jab.  
Pevey steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Pevey throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Pevey forces McNeill to back into the ropes.  Pevey is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Pevey lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  He then lands a right uppercut to the body, a cross to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Pevey lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs, DROPPING MCNEILL TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  It looks like McNeill has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Pevey is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Pevey lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Pevey drives a potent left hook into his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE MCNEILL WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  McNeill almost instantly recovers. 
Pevey gets on the inside.  McNeill throws a left hook, but Pevey clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Pevey pushes his forearm into McNeill's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McNeill tries to keep the action at long range.  Pevey feints a jab, tricking McNeill into launching a cross counter.  Pevey springs the trap and counters with  a left hook.  
Pevey steps inside and connects with a left hook.  
McNeill switches the action to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Pevey lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McNeill's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  McNeill's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  McNeill's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

McNeill throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Pevey's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
McNeill tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a cross, but Pevey blocks the shot and counters with a FEARSOME right hook.  MCNEILL WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  McNeill almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Pevey connects with a left uppercut.  
Pevey lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Pevey is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Pevey drives a left uppercut into McNeill's ribs.  
Pevey drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Pevey crashes a spiteful left uppercut to his opponents body.  DOWN GOES MCNEILL!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Pevey EXPLODES a HUGE left uppercut into his opponents face.  MCNEILL IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE TRIES TO RISE BUT HIS LEGS DONT RESPOND...THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Pevey!
