Brad Van der Vyver vs Peter Baxter

Boxing Daily Report from the Nicky Bonds promoted show at Selland Arena, Fresno,  taking place on 30/11/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on MSG Network, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Brad Van der Vyver (0 - 0) who hails from Randburg, South Africa and Peter Baxter(0 - 1) from Glendale, USA.  Van der Vyver weighed in at 200 pounds, while Baxter weighed in at 199 pounds and 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Cris Villagomez, and the three ringside judges are Michael Torry, Dillon Downey and John Summerfield.  

Round 1: 

Baxter steps away from his opponent.  Van der Vyver lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Van der Vyver is on target with a solid left uppercut to Baxter's body.  
Van der Vyver forces Baxter to back into the ropes.  Van der Vyver lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Van der Vyver lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Van der Vyver digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Van der Vyver clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Van der Vyver pushes his forearm into Baxter's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Van der Vyver lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Van der Vyver lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Van der Vyver attempts to land a left hook, but Baxter blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Baxter feints a left hook, but Van der Vyver ignores the feint and lands with a solid cross.  
Van der Vyver advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Baxter quickly recovers. 
Van der Vyver closes the distance and crashes a spiteful left uppercut to Baxter's ribs.  BAXTER IS HURT!  
Baxter is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Van der Vyver lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Van der Vyver knows Baxter is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Van der Vyver lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS BAXTER TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  
Van der Vyver closes the distance.  Van der Vyver lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body, KNOCKING BAXTER DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Baxter now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Van der Vyver lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Van der Vyver holds on to his opponent.  Van der Vyver is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Van der Vyver to stop fouling.  
Van der Vyver is on target with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.

Van der Vyver quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Van der Vyver lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Van der Vyver ties up his opponent.  Van der Vyver leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Van der Vyver's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Van der Vyver lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Baxter recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Van der Vyver throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Van der Vyver clinches his opponent.  Van der Vyver leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Van der Vyver digs in a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.  Van der Vyver clinches his opponent.  Van der Vyver leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Van der Vyver attempts to land a right hook, but Baxter blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Van der Vyver digs in a solid right hook to Baxter's ribs.  BAXTER IS HURT!  Baxter almost instantly recovers. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Baxter's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Baxter's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Baxter's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Van der Vyver whips in a hurtful left hook to Baxter's body.  BAXTER IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Van der Vyver throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Van der Vyver holds on to his opponent.  Van der Vyver leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Van der Vyver.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Van der Vyver sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a solid left hook into his opponents liver.  
Van der Vyver is on target with a sharp left hook to Baxter's liver.  
Van der Vyver digs in a stinging left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Van der Vyver steps inside and drives a left uppercut into Baxter's liver.  Van der Vyver ties up his opponent.  Van der Vyver is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  Van der Vyver throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Van der Vyver closes the distance and drives a left hook into Baxter's body.  
Baxter switches the action to the outside.  Van der Vyver lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Van der Vyver gets on the inside and is on target with a right uppercut to Baxter's body.  
Baxter is looking to keep his distance.  Van der Vyver lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Van der Vyver pivots from in front of his opponent and slams a nasty left uppercut into his opponents liver.  IT LOOKS LIKE BAXTER WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Van der Vyver manouvers Baxter into a corner.  Van der Vyver throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Van der Vyver holds on to his opponent.  Van der Vyver leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Van der Vyver to stop holding.  
Van der Vyver senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Baxter and just needs the right shot.  Van der Vyver lands a left uppercut, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND BAXTER IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  It looks like Baxter has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Van der Vyver lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Van der Vyver drives a weighty right hook into his opponents body.  BAXTER WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Baxter recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Van der Vyver crashes a DESTRUCTIVE right hook to his opponents ribcage.  BAXTER IS DOWN!  THE REF DOES NOT EVEN BOTHER WITH THE COUNT...HE'S SEEN ENOUGH AND HAS STOPPED THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Van der Vyver!
