Onofre Vaz vs Reyes Alva

Boxing Daily Report from the PitBulls Promotions promoted show at HSBC Arena, Rio de Janeiro,  taking place on 29/12/2035:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Brazil Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Onofre Vaz (19(9) - 2(2)) who hails from Sao Paulo, Brazil and Reyes Alva(29(8) - 8(1) - 2) from Salvador, Brazil.  Both Vaz and Alva weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Quiqui Carneiro, and the three ringside judges are Cris Brandao, Vicente Sergio and Venacio Imperial.  

Round 1: 

Vaz is looking to keep the action on the outside and tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut.
