Joaquin Hidalgo vs Elias Copas

Boxing Daily Report from the Raisian Promotions promoted show at Mexico-Baja California Gym, Tijuana,  taking place on 27/12/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Baja California Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joaquin Hidalgo (8 - 17 - 2) who hails from Mexicali, Mexico and Elias Copas(6 - 21(2) - 5) from Ensenada, Mexico.  Hidalgo weighed in at 239 pounds and 3 ounces, while Copas weighed in at 238 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Franco Maria, and the three ringside judges are Sagaz Moya, Baltasar Barrio and Fausto Cayetano.  

Round 1: 

Copas steps to the outside.  Hidalgo throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hidalgo sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a right uppercut to Copas's body.  
Copas feints a cross, and then lands a right uppercut.  
Copas quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Hidalgo wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Copas dabs at his face checking for damage.
