Aaron McKenna vs Rob Cavanah

Boxing Daily Report from the Australia Boxing Organisation promoted show at Nerang Velodrome, Gold Coast,  taking place on 11/01/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Aaron McKenna (1 - 0) who hails from Canberra, Australia and Rob Cavanah(12 - 26(3) - 5) from Melbourne, Australia.  Both McKenna and Cavanah weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fraser McNabb, and the three ringside judges are Scott Martin, Paul Phaup and John Wark.  

Round 1: 

McKenna gets on the inside.  Cavanah connects with a left hook.  McKenna clinches his opponent.  McKenna pushes his forearm into Cavanah's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
McKenna advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
McKenna lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Cavanah pivots to the side of his opponent.  McKenna drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
McKenna gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
McKenna steps inside and lands a right uppercut.  
McKenna closes the distance and drives a left uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
McKenna advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
McKenna is looking to close the distance.  Cavanah throws a left uppercut, but McKenna ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, McKenna pushes his forearm into Cavanah's face.  The referee warns McKenna and breaks the clinch.  
McKenna gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
McKenna lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
McKenna is looking to close the distance.  McKenna sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

McKenna steps inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  McKenna lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

McKenna connects with a firm left hook.  McKenna clinches his opponent.  McKenna leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks McKenna's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cavanah's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Cavanah's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.
