Connor Panoian vs Robert Papadakis

Boxing Daily Report from the Australia Boxing Organisation promoted show at Rydges Lakeside Canberra Hotel, Canberra,  taking place on 10/01/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Connor Panoian (1 - 0) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Robert Papadakis(17 - 25(1) - 5) from Brisbane, Australia.  Both Panoian and Papadakis weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Noah Pierce, and the three ringside judges are Mark Kilbride, Callum Purcell and John Hakopyan.  

Round 1: 

Panoian is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Papadakis throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Panoian's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Panoian attempts to land a jab, but Papadakis sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Panoian lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Panoian lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  Panoian clinches his opponent.  Papadakis leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Papadakis quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Panoian connects with a right hook.  
Panoian advances into close range and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Panoian holds on to his opponent.  Panoian pushes his forearm into Papadakis's face.  The referee warns Panoian and breaks the clinch.  
Panoian walks his opponent down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Papadakis tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Panoian lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Panoian lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Panoian pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Panoian is on target with a left hook.  
Papadakis throws a left hook, but Panoian ties up his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Panoian lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Papadakis dabs at his face checking for damage.  Papadakis has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused swelling  around the right eye.  
Panoian attempts to land a jab, but Papadakis sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Panoian closes the distance and connects with a right hook.  
Panoian connects with a left hook.  Panoian ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Panoian lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Panoian attempts to land a left hook, but Papadakis sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Papadakis's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Papadakis's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate. Panoian gets on the inside.  Papadakis throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Papadakis has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
