Nicandro Ferro vs Diego Mello

Boxing Daily Report from the Odoom Promotions promoted show at Sierra Florio Gym, Manaus,  taking place on 18/02/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Brazil-Amazonas Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nicandro Ferro (17 - 8 - 2) who hails from Manaus, Brazil and Diego Mello(6 - 9 - 7) from Manaus, Brazil.  Both Ferro and Mello weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rodrigo Gularte, and the three ringside judges are Hilario Spinola, Montego Vila and Vegas Borba.  

Round 1: 

Mello gets on the inside.  Ferro lands a right hook.  
Mello advances into close range and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ferro's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Mello's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.

Mello feints a left hook, but Ferro is not fooled and responds with a cross.  
Mello steps inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Ferro throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Mello's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Mello steps inside.  Ferro is on target with a left uppercut.  
Mello is looking to close the distance.  Ferro connects with a left uppercut.

As they grapple, Mello pushes his forearm into Ferro's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Mello to stop fouling.  
At the end of Round 9, lets listen in on the corners...Ferro's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight. Mello's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!
