Vicente Fidel vs Ponce Sotelo

Boxing Daily Report from the Sowah Promotions promoted show at Manuel Alberto Gym, Maracaibo,  taking place on 09/09/2037:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Venezuela-Zulia Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vicente Fidel (10 - 17 - 4) who hails from Maracaibo, Venezuela and Ponce Sotelo(10 - 2) from Maracaibo, Venezuela.  Both Fidel and Sotelo weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Santiago Soriano, and the three ringside judges are Alejandro Blando, Federico Chapa and Santiago Hidalgo.  

Round 1: 

Sotelo hits home with a cross.  
Sotelo tries to keep the action at long range.  Sotelo throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Fidel's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Sotelo walks Fidel onto the ropes.  Sotelo lands a right uppercut.
