James Shand vs Diego Nepomuceno

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium, Montreal,  taking place on 03/10/2037:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the IRBF Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are James Shand (54(45) - 6(4)) who hails from Toronto, Canada and Diego Nepomuceno(31(26) - 3(3)) from Pasig, Philippines.  Both Shand and Nepomuceno weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sid Leys, and the three ringside judges are Stephen Morton, Olier Paradis and Bruce Hathorne.  

Round 1: 

Nepomuceno advances into close range.  Shand pivots to the left of his opponent.  Shand tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Nepomuceno pivots to the side of his opponent.  Nepomuceno tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Some sustained pressure from Shand could be enough to finish Nepomuceno!  Shand lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS NEPOMUCENO TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Nepomuceno now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.

Nepomuceno walks Shand down, trapping him in the corner.  Nepomuceno quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to Shand's ribs.  
As Shand tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Nepomuceno.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
