Oscar Craigen vs James Mattison

Boxing Daily Report from the Kiwi Boxing Academy promoted show at Manukau Hogg, Manukau,  taking place on 29/09/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Auckland Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Oscar Craigen (25(22) - 2 - 1) who hails from Manukau, New Zealand and James Mattison(12 - 18 - 2) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Both Craigen and Mattison weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Corey Hopper, and the three ringside judges are Antwan Vaughan, Kenzie Anderson and Clinton Martie.  

Round 1: 

Craigen steps inside and drives a left hook into Mattison's ribs.  Craigen ties up his opponent.  Craigen leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Craigen's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Craigen lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.

Craigen closes the distance and is on target with a left hook.  Craigen clinches his opponent.  Craigen pushes his forearm into Mattison's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Craigen.  
Craigen lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Craigen holds on to his opponent.  Craigen leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Craigen's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Craigen is on target with a left hook.  Craigen ties up his opponent.  Craigen is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Craigen walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Craigen is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Mattison throws a left hook, but Craigen clinches his opponent.  Craigen is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.

The ref separates the two fighters.  Craigen tries to land a left uppercut, but Mattison parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Mattison throws a left hook, but Craigen holds on to his opponent.  Craigen leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Craigen throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Craigen holds on to his opponent.  Craigen leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Craigen to stop holding.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mattison's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Mattison's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Mattison's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Craigen manouvers Mattison onto the ropes.  Craigen lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Mattison almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Craigen lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Craigen lands a right hook.  
Craigen lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Craigen steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Craigen lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Craigen throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to Craigen's liver.  
Craigen is on target with a WICKED left hook.  MATTISON IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE MAKES IT TO ONE KNEE, BUT IS UNABLE TO RISE ANY FURTHER AS THE REF COUNTS 10!  The winner by KO is Craigen!
