Gbolahan Akinyemi vs Matthew Erhenede

Boxing Daily Report from the Chirambo Promotions promoted show at Kano Gideon, Kano,  taking place on 01/10/2037:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Kano State Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gbolahan Akinyemi (14(1) - 1) who hails from Kano, Nigeria and Matthew Erhenede(27 - 17 - 4) from Kano, Nigeria.  Both Akinyemi and Erhenede weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Obekpa, and the three ringside judges are Chinedu Monu, Hope Namo and Rashid Nazimuddin.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Akinyemi.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
