Inigo Carns vs Sam Aitkens

Boxing Daily Report from the Brock promoted show at Temple Theater, Des Moines,  taking place on 06/10/2037:

Clearly Brock have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Iowa Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Inigo Carns (13(1) - 2) who hails from Cedar Rapids, USA and Sam Aitkens(20 - 11(3) - 6) from Des Moines, USA.  Both Carns and Aitkens weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vincent Bathgate, and the three ringside judges are Colin Dickins, Michael Hutchison and Mike James.  

Round 1: 

Carns lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Carns pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into Aitkens's liver.  
Carns hits home with a right hook.  
Aitkens tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a solid cross.

Aitkens steps inside.  Carns retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Aitkens accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Carns.  
Aitkens attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Carns's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Aitkens advances into close range.  Carns lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Carns switches the action to the outside and lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Carns finds the target with a solid jab.  
Carns lands a jab.  
Carns steps away from his opponent and lands a cross.  
Aitkens gets on the inside.  Carns lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Carns switches the action to the outside and lands a jab to his opponents body.  
Aitkens throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut to Aitkens's body.  
Carns lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Aitkens attempts to land a right uppercut, but Carns blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Carns digs in a right uppercut to Aitkens's body.
