Cody Lothian vs Dave Burgess

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Iowa promoted show at Cedar Rapids Harrower, Cedar Rapids,  taking place on 04/10/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Iowa Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cody Lothian (11 - 14 - 4) who hails from Des Moines, USA and Dave Burgess(4 - 6 - 3) from Cedar Rapids, USA.  Both Lothian and Burgess weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Starrett, and the three ringside judges are Blake Balderston, Vincent Bathgate and Nicholas Mower.  

Round 1: 

Lothian hits home with an overhand right.  Lothian tries to land a cross, but Burgess sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Burgess steps inside.  Lothian lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Burgess is looking to close the distance.  Lothian hits home with a left hook.  
Burgess advances into close range and tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Burgess steps inside.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Burgess dabs at his face checking for damage.
