Cody Baird vs Kian Dorch

Boxing Daily Report from the Brock promoted show at Cedar Rapids Harrower, Cedar Rapids,  taking place on 06/10/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Iowa Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cody Baird (9 - 9) who hails from Des Moines, USA and Kian Dorch(34(28) - 9(6) - 1) from Cedar Rapids, USA.  Baird weighed in at 146 pounds, while Dorch weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Leeroy Rielly, and the three ringside judges are Mike James, David Crosbie and Amon Stackpoole.  

Round 1: 

Dorch advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Dorch sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Baird wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Dorch dabs at his face checking for damage.  Dorch has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Dorch cuts off the ring, trapping Baird in the red corner.  Dorch connects with a solid right hook.
