Cody Vig vs James Dahlby

Boxing Daily Report from the yahir promoted show at St. Louis Moloney, St. Louis,  taking place on 06/10/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Missouri Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cody Vig (6 - 7 - 1) who hails from Kansas City, USA and James Dahlby(9(5) - 0) from Kansas City, USA.  Vig weighed in at 135 pounds and 12 ounces, while Dahlby weighed in at 135 pounds.    As Vig came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Lucas Geddie, and the three ringside judges are Callum Johansen, Phil Ekberg and George Mulloy.  

Round 1:

Dahlby gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Dahlby tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Dahlby cuts off the ring, trapping Vig in a neutral corner.  Dahlby is on target with a solid left hook to Vig's liver.  
Dahlby steps inside and slams a hurtful right hook into his opponents body.  DOWN GOES VIG!  He manages to get up at 5.  
Dahlby steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Vig recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Dahlby.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Dahlby lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.

Vig now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.
