Blake Killough vs David Brickell

Boxing Daily Report from the Aussie Boxing Academy promoted show at Geelong Grant, Geelong,  taking place on 06/10/2037:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-Victoria Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Blake Kill Or Be Killed Killough (24(16) - 4(2)) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and David Brickell(5 - 5(1) - 3) from Melbourne, Australia.  Killough weighed in at 160 pounds, while Brickell weighed in at 160 pounds And 9 ounces.    As Brickell came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Arran Forbes, and the three ringside judges are Aaron Hadjinyan, Gareth Dovey and Jake Denniston.  

Round 1: 

Killough closes the distance.  Brickell throws a right hook, but Killough holds on to his opponent.  Killough leans on his opponent using all his weight. Killough manages to force his way out of the clinch.  
Killough drives a left hook into Brickell's body.  
Killough lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Killough advances into close range and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Killough lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Killough clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Killough pushes his forearm into Brickell's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Killough lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Killough gets on the inside and drives a right hook into Brickell's body.  
Killough lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Killough lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Killough lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Killough tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Killough closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Killough lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Brickell quickly recovers.

Killough digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Killough ties up his opponent.  Killough is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Killough lands two jabs followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Brickell gets on the inside.  Killough lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Brickell tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Killough throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Killough ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Killough pushes his forearm into Brickell's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Killough.  
Killough drives a firm right hook into Brickell's ribcage.  
Killough is on target with a stinging left hook.  Killough holds on to his opponent.  Killough leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Brickell lands a left hook.  
Killough lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Killough quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Brickell is on target with a right hook.  
Killough advances into close range and drives a left hook into Brickell's body.  
Killough pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Killough lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Brickell's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Brickell's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Brickell's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Killough lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Killough steps inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Brickell quickly recovers. 
Killough lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Killough hits home with a solid left uppercut.  
Killough lands a left hook.  Killough ties up his opponent.  Killough leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Brickell pivots to the right of his opponent.  Brickell goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Killough's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Killough gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Killough drives a right uppercut into Brickell's ribs.  As Killough tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Brickell dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Killough sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Killough is looking to close the distance and lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Killough steps inside and connects with a stinging right hook.  
Killough closes the distance.  Killough is on target with a right uppercut.  Killough wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Brickell.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Killough connects with a sharp cross.

Brickell is starting to lose his temper here.   He pushes his head into Killough's face...that looked intentional!  That has caused a slight cut in the corner of.  The ref separates the two fighters and tells Brickell to watch his head.  He gives Killough a few minutes to recover.

Brickell attempts to land a left uppercut, but Killough slips the shot and counters with a VICIOUS left hook.  BRICKELL WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Killough manouvers Brickell into a neutral corner.  Killough thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Brickell away.  Killough lands a left hook to the body, a cross to the head and a right hook to the head, AND SENDS BRICKELL TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  Brickell now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.

Killough advances into close range and connects with a FEARSOME left uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE BRICKELL WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Brickell quickly recovers. 
Killough drives a solid left uppercut into his opponents body.  Killough ties up his opponent.  Killough leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Killough lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND BRICKELL IS DOWN!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Killough!
