Ronan Quirk vs Rory Corcoran

Boxing Daily Report from the All Talk Promotions promoted show at Dublin McRae, Dublin,  taking place on 14/10/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Irish Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport Ireland, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ronan Quirk (14 - 4(1)) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Rory Corcoran(11(8) - 2(1)) from Dun Laoghaire, Ireland.  Quirk weighed in at 116 pounds and 13 ounces, while Corcoran weighed in at 117 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Rob Nesmith, and the three ringside judges are Michael Corcoran, Lee Taggart and Mike Green.  

Round 1: 

Quirk connects with an overhand right.

Quirk steps inside.  Corcoran drives a right hook into Quirk's body.  Corcoran holds on to his opponent.  Corcoran pushes his forearm into Quirk's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Corcoran gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.

Corcoran is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Corcoran lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head, AND DOWN GOES QUIRK!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Quirk now seems to have his senses back.

Corcoran steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Quirk almost instantly recovers. 
Corcoran digs in a right uppercut to Quirk's body.  
Quirk steps away from his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Corcoran steps inside.  Quirk sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Corcoran lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Corcoran walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Corcoran quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Corcoran throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Corcoran gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Quirk quickly recovers. 
Corcoran lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND KNOCKS QUIRK DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Corcoran.  That has caused slight damage to the nose.
