Ray Jalabert vs Sargent Giroud

Boxing Daily Report from the Danquah Promotions promoted show at Edmond Dodds Gym, Pikine,  taking place on 03/11/2037:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Senegal-Dakar Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ray Jalabert (1 - 6) who hails from Dakar, Senegal and Sargent Giroud(6 - 3 - 1) from Pikine, Senegal.  Both Jalabert and Giroud weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Holland Mandiang, and the three ringside judges are Reinald Mbow, Ranger Angrand and Vernon Thiaw.  

Round 1: 

Giroud feints a right hook, and then lands a cross.  
Jalabert quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Giroud connects with a right hook.  
Jalabert throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Giroud's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Jalabert throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Jalabert tries to keep the action at long range and lands an overhand left.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Jalabert's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Giroud's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Giroud sidesteps to the right of his opponent andThe two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Jalabert dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Jalabert.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Giroud advances into close range.  Giroud pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook.
