Dale Mattas vs Michael Kiangudi

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Robina Stadium, Gold Coast,  taking place on 12/12/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the WRBC Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Dale Mattas (21(11) - 2 - 1(NC)) who hails from Perth, Australia and Michael Kiangudi(26(1) - 13(9)) from Soweto, South Africa.  Both Mattas and Kiangudi weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ewan Duffy, and the three ringside judges are Charlie Cacciari, Tobias Bruce and Rich James.  

Round 1: 

Mattas advances into close range.  Kiangudi pivots from in front of his opponent.  Mattas is on target with a firm left uppercut to Kiangudi's body.  Mattas holds on to his opponent.  Kiangudi is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Mattas steps to the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Mattas is looking to close the distance.  Kiangudi pivots to the right of his opponent.  Mattas is on target with a left hook.  
Kiangudi tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Mattas is on target with a left hook to Kiangudi's body.  
Mattas advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Mattas holds on to his opponent.  Mattas is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Mattas about fouling.

Kiangudi pushes his forearm into Mattas's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Kiangudi about fouling.  
Kiangudi lands a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kiangudi's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Kiangudi's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Mattas thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Kiangudi away.  Mattas lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a cross to the head, DROPPING KIANGUDI TO THE CANVAS!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Mattas!
