Bob Ridpath vs Mark East

Boxing Daily Report from the Cowboys promoted show at Houston Machuca, Houston,  taking place on 06/11/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Texas Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Bob Ridpath (26 - 16(1) - 3) who hails from Dallas, USA and Mark East(23 - 25(11) - 1) from Houston, USA.  Both Ridpath and East weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Daniel Canas, and the three ringside judges are Johnny Cornejo, Spencer Aurelio and Leon Tarbert.  

Round 1: 

Ridpath pivots to the left of his opponent.  Ridpath attempts to land a cross, but East sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Ridpath steps to the outside.  Ridpath quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Ridpath throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives East time to recover.
