Selestino Cavazos vs Santiago Holguin

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Puerto Rico-Bayamon promoted show at Juan Prospero Gym, Bayamon,  taking place on 01/12/2037:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Puerto Rico-Bayamon Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Selestino Cavazos (20(6) - 5(1) - 2) who hails from Bayamon, Puerto Rico and Santiago Holguin(4 - 8(2) - 1) from Bayamon, Puerto Rico.  Both Cavazos and Holguin weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Eduardo Mallen, and the three ringside judges are Alano Exposito, Jair Sebastian and Guido Bonilla.  

Round 1: 

Holguin closes the distance.  Cavazos pivots to the left of his opponent.  Cavazos throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Cavazos holds on to his opponent.  Cavazos is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cavazos to stop fouling.  
Cavazos is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Cavazos feints a cross, fooling Holguin into throwing a right uppercut counter.  Cavazos springs the trap, countering with  a sharp right hook.

It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Cavazos.  That has caused minor damage to the nose.
