Ellis MacGowan vs Cody Sayer

Boxing Daily Report from the DOTT promoted show at Worcester Wilde, Worcester,  taking place on 06/12/2037:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Massachusetts Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ellis MacGowan (6 - 3 - 2) who hails from Worcester, USA and Cody Sayer(8 - 6(1) - 3) from Worcester, USA.  MacGowan weighed in at 130 pounds, while Sayer weighed in at 129 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Vincent Weale, and the three ringside judges are Phil Dawes, Fred Reese and Hugh Hier.  

Round 1: 

MacGowan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a stiff jab.  
MacGowan steps inside.  Sayer tries to land a right hook, but MacGowan slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
MacGowan closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  MacGowan pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a stinging right uppercut into Sayer's body.
