Rob Harkins vs David Iversen

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at OPCC Courtyard, Overland Park,  taking place on 28/11/2037:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Rob Harkins (3(2) - 1) who hails from Tampa, USA and David Iversen(3 - 3) from Detroit, USA.  Both Harkins and Iversen weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Davie Whitted, and the three ringside judges are Max Cadden, Duncan Myres and Henry Eddington.  

Round 1: 

Harkins lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Harkins hits home with a firm cross.  
Iversen connects with a cross.

Iversen walks Harkins down, trapping him on the ropes.  Iversen pivots to the left of his opponent.  Harkins drives a right hook into Iversen's ribcage.  
Harkins lands two jabs followed by an overhand right to his opponents head.

Harkins switches the action to the outside.  Harkins feints a jab, but Iversen is not fooled and is on target with a right hook.

Iversen closes the distance.  Iversen pivots from in front of his opponent.  Harkins lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Iversen feints a right, and then attempts to land a cross, but Harkins slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Iversen's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Iversen's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Harkins feints a jab, fooling Iversen into launching a right hook counter.  Harkins springs the trap, countering with  a left hook.  
Harkins lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Harkins lands a jab to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Harkins switches the action to the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Harkins lands a straight 1 - 2.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Harkins is looking to force the stoppage!  Harkins lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS IVERSEN SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  It looks like Iversen has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Iversen pivots to the side of his opponent.  Harkins lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Harkins steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Iversen recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Harkins steps to the outside and hits home with a solid overhand right.  
Iversen is starting to lose his temper here.   He swings an uppercut into his opponents groin! The ref takes no action over the foul, despite complaints from Harkins.  
Harkins lands a jab.  
Harkins lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Iversen is getting frustrated here.   He steps in close and swings a low uppercut into Harkins's groin!  The ref doesnt appear to have noticed the foul and signals for the action to continue.  
Iversen sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Harkins lands a cross to the body, a jab to the head and a jab to the body.  
Iversen walks Harkins down, trapping him on the ropes.  Harkins hits home with a solid cross.  
Iversen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Harkins whips in a spiteful left hook to Iversen's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE IVERSEN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Some sustained pressure from Harkins could be enough to finish Iversen!  Harkins lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands two right uppercuts to the body, and one to the head, AND DROPS IVERSEN TO THE CANVAS!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Harkins!
