Jeremie Gillard vs Joe Sligh

Boxing Daily Report from the GAT Management promoted show at Claude Robillard Centre, Montreal,  taking place on 11/02/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Network, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jeremie Gillard (32(9) - 8(1)) who hails from Laval, Canada and Joe Sligh(19 - 18(1) - 5) from Greeley, USA.  Gillard weighed in at 159 pounds and 13 ounces, while Sligh weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Mabon, and the three ringside judges are Paris Clarin, Granger Hinault and Channing Lippmann.  

Round 1: 

Gillard closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Gillard lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Gillard lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Gillard forces Sligh to retreat into the corner.  Gillard sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Gillard advances into close range and is on target with a right hook to Sligh's ribcage.  
Gillard lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Gillard pivots to the side of his opponent.  Sligh lands a jab.  
Gillard is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook.  
Gillard lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  
Gillard is looking to close the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Gillard lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Sligh throws a left hook, but Gillard holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Gillard pushes his forearm into Sligh's face.  The referee warns Gillard and breaks the clinch.

Gillard closes the distance and walks his opponent into a corner.  Gillard attempts to land a right hook, but Sligh parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Sligh tries to land a right uppercut, but Gillard parries the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Gillard closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  He then lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Gillard lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Gillard holds on to his opponent.  Gillard tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Sligh behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Gillard hits home with a stinging left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sligh's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Sligh's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Gillard is looking to force the stoppage!  Gillard connects with a MASSIVE left uppercut.  DOWN GOES SLIGH!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  It looks like Sligh has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Sligh is on target with a jab.  
Gillard closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Sligh tries to land a jab, but Gillard slips the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.

Gillard connects with a FEARSOME cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE SLIGH WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Sligh quickly recovers. 
Gillard is looking to close the distance and lands a double right hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!
