Ian Ewen vs Eddie McBane

Boxing Daily Report from the Beyond The Ropes Promotions promoted show at Kings Center, Oxford,  taking place on 30/12/2037:

Clearly Beyond The Ropes Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ian Ewen (13(6) - 0 - 1 - 1(NC)) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Eddie McBane(1 - 2) from Leicester, UK.  Both Ewen and McBane weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ali Parsa, and the three ringside judges are Greg Raia, Jamie Hayes and Bryan Ferguson.  

Round 1: 

McBane is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Ewen lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Ewen lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Ewen lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Ewen holds on to his opponent.  Ewen is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ewen about fouling.  
Ewen is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Ewen ties up his opponent.  Ewen leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Ewen drives a left uppercut into McBane's body.  
Ewen is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
Ewen steps inside and is on target with a right hook.  
Ewen lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Ewen clinches his opponent.  Ewen leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Ewen is looking to close the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Ewen clinches his opponent.  Ewen uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on McBane's kidney. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Ewen circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  McBane finds the target with a jab.  
Ewen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to McBane's ribs.  
Ewen closes the distance and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Ewen ties up his opponent.  Ewen tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McBane behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McBane's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  McBane's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Ewen lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body, AND MCBANE IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Ewen!
