David Swanson vs Theo Broadie

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Celebrity Theatre, Phoenix,  taking place on 19/12/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are David Swanson (6 - 0) who hails from Minneapolis, USA and Theo Broadie(5 - 0 - 1) from Los Angeles, USA.  Both Swanson and Broadie weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Matt Oliver, and the three ringside judges are Santiago Sanabria, Richie Mulherin and Phil Sim.  

Round 1: 

Swanson hits home with a cross.  
Swanson quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Swanson lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Swanson ties up his opponent.  Swanson leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Swanson manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Broadie throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Swanson lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Broadie lands a jab.  
Swanson steps inside and drives a firm right hook into Broadie's body.  
Swanson is on target with a stinging left hook to Broadie's body.  
Swanson cuts off the ring, trapping Broadie in the corner.  Swanson lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Swanson holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Swanson pushes his forearm into Broadie's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Swanson to stop fouling.  
Swanson lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Swanson ties up his opponent.  Swanson leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Broadie connects with a left hook.  Swanson holds on to his opponent.  Swanson leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Swanson hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Swanson is on target with a sharp cross.  
Swanson is looking to close the distance and lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  Swanson clinches his opponent.  Swanson leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Swanson gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  Swanson holds on to his opponent.  Swanson uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Broadie's kidney. 
Swanson forces Broadie to retreat into the red corner.  Swanson sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Broadie attempts to land a left uppercut, but Swanson blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Swanson closes the distance.  Swanson lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Broadie dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Swanson lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Swanson lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Broadie's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Broadie's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Broadie's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
