James Skeldon vs Noel Merson

Boxing Daily Report from the Darko Promotions promoted show at Memphis Perkins, Memphis,  taking place on 06/01/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Tennessee Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Skeldon (9 - 7(1) - 5) who hails from Knoxville, USA and Noel Merson(9 - 2 - 1) from Memphis, USA.  Both Skeldon and Merson weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Davidson, and the three ringside judges are James Nickson, Paul Loudon and John Barrett.  

Round 1: 

Merson attempts to land a cross, but Skeldon dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Merson is looking to close the distance and digs in a left uppercut to Skeldon's body.  
Merson pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Skeldon is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with an overhand left.  
Skeldon connects with a cross.  
Skeldon is looking to close the distance.  Merson pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Skeldon's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Merson's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Merson pivots to the right of his opponent.  As Merson tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Skeldon.  That has caused minor damage to the nose.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Merson's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.
