Vidkun Laursen vs David Sands

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Olympic Stadium, Montreal,  taking place on 06/02/2038:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Vidkun Laursen (6(5) - 0 - 1) who hails from Aarhus, Denmark and David Sands(11 - 10(1) - 6) from Ottawa, Canada.  Laursen weighed in at 199 pounds And 15 ounces, while Sands weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Henry Popkin, and the three ringside judges are James Mabon, Carvell Brame and Olier Paradis.  

Round 1: 

Laursen gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Laursen lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Laursen is looking to close the distance and is on target with a firm right uppercut.  
Laursen manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Laursen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Laursen is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Laursen lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Laursen clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Laursen pushes his forearm into Sands's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Laursen about fouling.  Sands almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Laursen feints a right hook, and then connects with a sharp cross.  
Laursen is looking to close the distance and is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Laursen lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Laursen is on target with a stinging left hook to Sands's body.  
Laursen gets on the inside and attempts to land a right hook, but Sands blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Laursen sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Laursen is on target with a solid right hook to Sands's body.  Laursen holds on to his opponent.  Laursen is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Laursen pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a right uppercut.  
Laursen lands a right hook to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  Laursen clinches his opponent.  Laursen leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Laursen's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Laursen forces Sands to retreat into a neutral corner.  Laursen tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Laursen pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Laursen drives a forceful left hook into Sands's body.  SANDS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
The right shot from Laursen could be enough to force the stoppage!  Laursen lands a right hook followed by  two right uppercuts to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body, AND DROPS SANDS TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  It looks like Sands has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Laursen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Laursen lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Sands recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Laursen lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Laursen sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Laursen EXPLODES a VICIOUS left hook into his opponents face.  SANDS IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sands's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Sands's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Sands's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Sands's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Laursen lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Laursen pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Laursen steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Sands throws a right uppercut, but Laursen ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Laursen is on target with a firm right uppercut.  
Laursen walks his opponent into a corner.  Laursen slams a mean right hook into his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE SANDS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Sands recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Sands throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Laursen is on target with a sharp left hook to Sands's body.  Laursen ties up his opponent.  Laursen tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Sands behind the head. Laursen leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Laursen's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Laursen lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Laursen closes the distance and digs in a potent left hook to his opponents body.  SANDS IS DOWN!  HE TRIES TO RISE ON SHAKY LEGS BUT SANDS CAN'T BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Laursen!
