Imran Sharifi vs Pritish Menon

Boxing Daily Report from the AI India-Gujurat promoted show at Siddharth Thaker Gym, Surat,  taking place on 24/01/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the India-Gujurat Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Imran Sharifi (3 - 4) who hails from Ahmedabad, India and Pritish Menon(1 - 6 - 2) from Surat, India.  Both Sharifi and Menon weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yasin Sinai, and the three ringside judges are Anupam Rana, Adnan Odeh and Anupam Rana.  

Round 1: 

Menon advances into close range and hits home with a right hook.  
Sharifi connects with a left uppercut.  
Menon gets on the inside.  Sharifi connects with a left hook.

Menon closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Menon drives a left hook into Sharifi's body.  Menon goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Sharifi time to recover.  
Sharifi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab to his opponents body.  
Menon advances into close range and manages to force Sharifi into a corner.  Sharifi lands a left uppercut.  
Sharifi lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Menon.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
