Cruz Diaz vs Salvador Tapia

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Baja California promoted show at Discoteca Hangar 27, Tijuana,  taking place on 27/01/2038:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Baja California Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cruz Diaz (21(7) - 6) who hails from Tijuana, Mexico and Salvador Tapia(13 - 12(3) - 5) from Mexicali, Mexico.  Diaz weighed in at 159 pounds And 11 ounces, while Tapia weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sagaz Moya, and the three ringside judges are Zacarias Ramon, Xabat Badillo and Carlos Cornejo.  

Round 1: 

Diaz steps inside.  Diaz is on target with a stinging left uppercut.  As Diaz tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Tapia.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
