Pekka Vatanen vs Carlos Alamillo

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Madison Square Garden, New York City,  taking place on 01/04/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Pekka Vatanen (20(15) - 0) who hails from Tampere, Finland and Carlos Alamillo(28(1) - 21(13)) from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.  Vatanen weighed in at 140 pounds, while Alamillo weighed in at 139 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Justin Giancola, and the three ringside judges are Ian Shea, Michael Perry and Bob Boyle.  

Round 1: 

Vatanen attempts to land a cross, but Alamillo sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Alamillo connects with a cross.  
Vatanen steps inside.  Alamillo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Alamillo tries to keep the action at long range.  Vatanen lands a jab, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Alamillo quickly recovers. 
Vatanen is looking to close the distance and connects with a solid right hook.  Vatanen clinches his opponent.  Vatanen is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Vatanen about fouling.  
Vatanen manages to force Alamillo onto the ropes.  Vatanen digs in a sharp left hook to Alamillo's liver.  Vatanen holds on to his opponent.  Vatanen leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Alamillo sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Vatanen hits home with a left uppercut.  
Vatanen gets on the inside.  Alamillo lands a right uppercut.  Vatanen holds on to his opponent.  Vatanen is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Alamillo throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Alamillo sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Alamillo lands a hard jab.  Alamillo throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Alamillo pivots to the right of his opponent.  Alamillo tries to land a left hook, but Vatanen slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Alamillo switches the action to the outside.  Vatanen drives a cross into Alamillo's body.  
Vatanen lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Vatanen lands a right uppercut.  
Vatanen finds the target with a jab.  
Vatanen closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Vatanen ties up his opponent.  Vatanen is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Alamillo lands two overhand rights followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Vatanen walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Alamillo has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.  
Vatanen lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Alamillo quickly recovers. 
Vatanen drives a sharp cross into his opponents body.  
Alamillo lands a cross.  
Alamillo lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Vatanen lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Vatanen advances into close range and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Vatanen closes the distance and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Alamillo steps to the outside and throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Vatanen steps inside and is on target with a left hook.  
Vatanen cuts off the ring, trapping Alamillo in a neutral corner.  Vatanen connects with a solid right uppercut.  
Vatanen digs in a left uppercut to Alamillo's body.  
Alamillo pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Vatanen hits home with a right hook.  
Vatanen steps inside and lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  Vatanen holds on to his opponent.  Alamillo pushes his forearm into Vatanen's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Alamillo to stop fouling.  
Vatanen lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Vatanen hits home with a firm right uppercut.  
Vatanen pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a solid right uppercut to his opponents body.

Vatanen gets on the inside and connects with a CRUSHING right hook.  ALAMILLO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Alamillo quickly recovers. 
Alamillo lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Alamillo is looking to keep his distance.  Vatanen is on target with a solid overhand right.  
Vatanen lands a firm cross.  
Vatanen gets on the inside.  Alamillo lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Vatanen lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!
