Hernan Palag vs Federico Bagtas

Boxing Daily Report from the Felix Orcales promoted show at Dasmarinas Sebastian, Dasmarinas,  taking place on 30/01/2038:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hernan Palag (18(13) - 1) who hails from Imus, Philippines and Federico Bagtas(4 - 4 - 2) from Quezon City, Philippines.  Both Palag and Bagtas weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joey Dato, and the three ringside judges are Santiago Mieras, Neil Lovato and Diego Arong.  

Round 1: 

Palag is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Palag clinches his opponent.  Palag is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Palag about fouling.

Palag advances into close range.  Bagtas throws a right hook, but Palag holds on to his opponent.  Palag leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Palag lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Palag closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Palag digs in a left hook to Bagtas's ribs.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Palag has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.

Palag forces Bagtas to retreat into a corner.  Palag is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Bagtas's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Bagtas's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
