Leon Fitzgerald vs Mark Daly

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ireland-Connacht promoted show at Joshua Donoghue Gym, Galway,  taking place on 06/02/2038:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Irish-Connacht Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leon Fitzgerald (3 - 7 - 1) who hails from Galway, Ireland and Mark Daly(3 - 8(1) - 4) from Galway, Ireland.  Fitzgerald weighed in at 167 pounds and 8 ounces, while Daly weighed in at 167 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Shamus McCaleb, and the three ringside judges are Jordan Byrnes, Ian Doyle and Eoghan Quinlan.  

Round 1: 

Daly closes the distance.  Daly lands a right hook.  Fitzgerald wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Daly has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight damage to the nose.  
Daly gets on the inside.  Fitzgerald pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left uppercut.

Daly closes the distance and forces Fitzgerald to back into a corner.  As Daly tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Fitzgerald dabs at his face checking for damage.  Fitzgerald has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
