Nuru Nkhatha vs Alastair Mkondo

Boxing Daily Report from the Quartey Promotions promoted show at Harare Mazivisa, Harare,  taking place on 07/02/2038:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Zimbabwe-Harare Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nuru Nkhatha (15(5) - 5(1)) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Alastair Mkondo(14 - 9(4) - 2) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  Nkhatha weighed in at 159 pounds And 3 ounces, while Mkondo weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Danny Matongo, and the three ringside judges are Tevaughn Mwale, Bryn Chinmano and Jacob Aulds.  

Round 1: 

Nkhatha is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Nkhatha holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Nkhatha pushes his forearm into Mkondo's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Nkhatha lands a left uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Nkhatha drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Nkhatha clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Nkhatha pushes his forearm into Mkondo's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Nkhatha about fouling.

Nkhatha attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Mkondo's complaints and signals for the action to continue.
