Grant Fonki vs Acelin Etock

Boxing Daily Report from the Hamidou Promotions promoted show at Hamidou Gym, Garoua,  taking place on 16/02/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Cameroon-Nord Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Grant Fonki (2 - 7(1) - 4) who hails from Garoua, Cameroon and Acelin Etock(18 - 6 - 2) from Garoua, Cameroon.  Fonki weighed in at 140 pounds and 12 ounces, while Etock weighed in at 140 pounds.    As Fonki came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Verity Shaznay, and the three ringside judges are Labaron Ulliel, Justin Mbamba and Ferrand Kweuke.  

Round 1: 

Fonki tries to land a jab, but Etock slips the shot and counters with a cross.

Etock closes the distance.  Etock voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Fonki is whaling away with hooks, but Etock keeps his defence tight.  Fonki drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.

Fonki steps to the outside.  Fonki sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Fonki feints a cross, but Etock does not fall for it and responds with a right uppercut.
