John Burns vs Angel Moreton

Boxing Daily Report from the Los Moreco Promotions promoted show at Bing Crosby Hall, San Diego,  taking place on 02/03/2038:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Burns (12(4) - 0) who hails from Dundalk, Ireland and Angel Moreton(20 - 10(2) - 2) from Celaya, Mexico.  Both Burns and Moreton weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dave Markle, and the three ringside judges are Bradley Eade, Ethan Queen and Sean Drews.  

Round 1: 

Burns advances into close range and throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Burns clinches his opponent.  Burns leans on his opponent using all his weight. Burns pushes his forearm into Moreton's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Burns about fouling.

Burns forces Moreton to retreat into the corner.  Burns quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Moreton throws a right hook, but Burns clinches his opponent.  Burns leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Burns's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Moreton throws a right uppercut, but Burns ties up his opponent.  Burns is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Burns hits home with a right hook.  
Burns lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Burns clinches his opponent.  Burns is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Burns tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Moreton behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Moreton throws a left uppercut, but Burns ties up his opponent.  Burns throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks Burns's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Burns is looking to close the distance.  Moreton pivots from in front of his opponent.  Moreton tries to land a right hook, but Burns sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Burns lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Burns sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Moreton hits home with a left hook.  
Burns gets on the inside and walks Moreton into a corner.  Burns drives a right hook into Moreton's ribcage.  
Burns feints a left, and then connects with a cross.

Burns steps inside and lands a left hook.  Burns holds on to his opponent.  Burns uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Moreton behind the head. The ref breaks Burns's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Burns cuts off the ring, trapping Moreton in the corner.  Burns lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Moreton's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Moreton's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Moreton dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Moreton.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.

Frustration is reaching boiling point for Moreton now.    He throws a hook, and catches Burns low!  The ref doesnt appear to have noticed the foul and signals for the action to continue.  
Burns lands a jab to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Moreton closes the distance.  Burns lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Burns lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Moreton quickly recovers. 
Burns is on target with a stinging left uppercut.  
Burns sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Moreton almost instantly recovers. 
Burns gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Moreton recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Burns closes the distance and drives a firm left hook into his opponents body.  
Burns lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head, AND MORETON IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Burns!
