Jose Arcos vs Alejandro Campo

Boxing Daily Report from the Sucre Promotions promoted show at Guayaquil Mota, Guayaquil,  taking place on 21/02/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador-Guayas Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jose Arcos (18 - 14(5) - 4) who hails from Guayaquil, Ecuador and Alejandro Campo(10(7) - 0 - 1) from Duran, Ecuador.  Both Arcos and Campo weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vicente Tamez, and the three ringside judges are Dario Ramirez, Hilario Granada and Quiqui Rubi.  

Round 1: 

Arcos hits home with a cross.  Arcos tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Arcos pivots from in front of his opponent.  Campo drives a left uppercut into Arcos's body.  
Arcos is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross.  
Campo gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Campo digs in a sharp right uppercut to Arcos's ribs.  Campo holds on to his opponent.  Campo pushes his forearm into Arcos's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Arcos switches the action to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Campo sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Campo lands a sharp right hook.  Campo ties up his opponent.  Campo pushes his forearm into Arcos's face.  The referee warns Campo and breaks the clinch.  
Campo gets on the inside and digs in a solid right hook to his opponents body.  Campo clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Campo pushes his forearm into Arcos's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Campo about fouling.  
Campo lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Campo gets on the inside and forces Arcos to back into a corner.  Campo connects with a left hook.  As Campo tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Arcos.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Arcos steps away from his opponent and throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Campo lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Campo steps inside and walks Arcos into the corner.  Campo lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Campo throws a right uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Campo ties up his opponent.  Campo tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Arcos behind the head. 
Campo lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Arcos steps away from his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Arcos lands a jab.  
Campo lands a jab to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Campo closes the distance and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Arcos quickly recovers.

Campo closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Arcos's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Arcos's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Arcos's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Campo drives a cross into his opponents body.  
Campo is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Campo clinches his opponent.  Campo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Campo uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Arcos behind the head. 
Campo is looking to close the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Arcos tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab.

Some sustained pressure from Campo could be enough to finish Arcos!  Campo lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS ARCOS TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Arcos now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.
