Santiago Licea vs Nicandro Pico

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Nuevo Leon promoted show at Ovidio Carcamo Gym, San Nicolas de los Garza,  taking place on 24/02/2038:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Mexico-Nuevo Leon Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TVC Deportes, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Santiago Licea (13 - 3 - 1) who hails from Ciudad Apodaca, Mexico and Nicandro Pico(14(11) - 2) from Ciudad Apodaca, Mexico.  Both Licea and Pico weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vicente Ortego, and the three ringside judges are Enzo Larin, Francisco Armas and Neper Bea.  

Round 1: 

Pico steps inside.  Licea connects with a left hook.  
Pico lands a MASSIVE right hook.  LICEA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!

Pico lands a left hook, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  Licea now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Pico lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Pico throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Licea is looking to keep his distance and finds the target with a jab.  
Pico is on target with a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Pico gets on the inside and drives a firm right hook into his opponents body.  
Licea throws a left hook, but Pico holds on to his opponent.  Pico is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Pico manages to force Licea into the corner.  Pico sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut.  
Pico lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He then lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  Pico holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Licea pushes his forearm into Pico's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Licea.  
Pico advances into close range.  Pico pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  
Pico lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Pico clinches his opponent.  Pico leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pico manouvers Licea into the red corner.  Pico is on target with a solid left hook to Licea's liver.  
Pico lands a sharp right uppercut.  
Pico is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Licea switches the action to the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Pico is looking to close the distance and drives a firm left hook into his opponents body.  
Pico manouvers Licea onto the ropes.  Licea connects with a left uppercut.  
Pico lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Pico is on target with a nasty right uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE LICEA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  

Pico closes the distance and lands a firm left hook.  Pico ties up his opponent.  Pico tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Licea's kidney. Pico uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Licea's kidney. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Pico is on target with a firm right hook.  
Pico lands a right uppercut, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Licea almost instantly recovers. 
Licea tries to keep the action at long range and finds the target with a jab.  
Licea hits home with a cross.  
Pico closes the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Pico pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  

Licea tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross.  
Pico steps inside and forces Licea to retreat onto the ropes.  Pico lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Pico lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Pico lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Pico quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a right hook into Licea's ribs.  
Pico lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Licea steps to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Licea is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab.  
Licea snaps his opponents head back with a sharp jab.  
Pico advances into close range and cuts off the ring, trapping Licea in a corner.  Pico connects with a left uppercut.  Pico clinches his opponent.  Pico leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pico hits home with a firm right uppercut.  Pico holds on to his opponent.  Pico leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pico lands a right uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Licea quickly recovers. 
Pico lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head, AND SENDS LICEA TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Licea quickly recovers.
