Suhaim Sghir vs Hanief Bassir

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Morocco-Oriental promoted show at El Houari Leghzaoui Gym, Nador,  taking place on 28/02/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Morocco-Oriental Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Suhaim Sghir (8 - 10 - 2) who hails from Nador, Morocco and Hanief Bassir(9(7) - 1) from Nador, Morocco.  Sghir weighed in at 200 pounds, while Bassir weighed in at 199 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Rifky Bergdich, and the three ringside judges are Amrou Mahdoufi, Hadir Assouline and Taj al Din Alfihri.  

Round 1: 

Sghir advances into close range.  Bassir quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Bassir lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Bassir holds on to his opponent.  Bassir leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Bassir advances into close range and hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Sghir gets on the inside and attempts to land a left hook, but Bassir slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Bassir is on target with a right uppercut to Sghir's body.  
Sghir steps inside.  Bassir lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Sghir manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Sghir attempts to land a cross, but Bassir slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Bassir is on target with a right hook to Sghir's body.  
Sghir is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Bassir EXPLODES a FEARSOME overhand right into his opponents face.  SGHIR IS HURT!  Sghir almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Bassir advances into close range and lands a FEARSOME left hook.  SGHIR WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Sghir quickly recovers. 
Bassir throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Bassir holds on to his opponent.  Bassir is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sghir is on target with a cross.  
Sghir is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Bassir hits home with a solid overhand right.  
Sghir sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Bassir lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Bassir advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Bassir pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a firm cross.  
Bassir advances into close range and lands a left hook.  Bassir attempts to land a right hook, but Sghir slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Sghir gets on the inside and manouvers Bassir onto the ropes.  Bassir lands two left hook's to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Sghir attempts to land a jab, but Bassir slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Sghir tries to keep the action at long range.  Sghir lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Bassir lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Bassir advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Bassir lands a FEROCIOUS left hook.  SGHIR IS HURT!  
Bassir is looking to close the distance and walks Sghir down, trapping him in a corner.  Bassir senses Sghir is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Bassir lands two straights followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND SGHIR IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  Sghir now seems to have got his legs back.  
Bassir gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Bassir throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the punch with a sidestep.  Bassir holds on to his opponent.  Bassir pushes his forearm into Sghir's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sghir's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Sghir's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Sghir's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Bassir lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Bassir drives a right hook into Sghir's body.  
Sghir steps inside.  Bassir is on target with a left hook.  
Bassir lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Bassir clinches his opponent.  Bassir is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Bassir is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Bassir lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Bassir forces Sghir to retreat into the blue corner.  Bassir lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Bassir hits home with a solid left hook.  
Bassir pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a nasty cross.  SGHIR IS HURT!  
Bassir steps inside.  Bassir thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Sghir away.  Bassir lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS SGHIR SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  It looks like Sghir has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Bassir closes the distance.  Bassir sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a stinging left hook to Sghir's ribs.  
Sghir is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with an overhand right.  
Bassir pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Sghir steps inside.  Sghir sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Bassir is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Sghir advances into close range.  Bassir drives a left uppercut into Sghir's body.  
Bassir steps to the outside.  Bassir contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Sghir attempts to land a jab, but Bassir sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.

Bassir closes the distance and crashes a mean left hook to his opponents liver.  SGHIR IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  
Bassir steps away from his opponent and lands with a stiff jab.  
Sghir feints a left hook, but Bassir ignores the feint and is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Bassir advances into close range and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Bassir steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Bassir stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Bassir lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS SGHIR DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  The ref takes a good look at Sghir's eyes.  The ref is waving the fight off...he doesnt think Sghir is fit to continue!  The winner by TKO is Bassir!
