Miljenko Golub vs Damjan Ilicic

Boxing Daily Report from the Ognjen promoted show at Dvorana Mladosti, Rijeka,  taking place on 14/03/2038:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Miljenko Golub (9(4) - 0) who hails from Split, Croatia and Damjan Ilicic(6 - 8(1) - 2) from Zagreb, Croatia.  Both Golub and Ilicic weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Andro Bunic, and the three ringside judges are Srecko Vujnovic, Mislav Vukojevic and Miljenko Vrabec.  

Round 1: 

Golub lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He then lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Golub lands a jab.  
Ilicic is on target with a left hook.  
Golub lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Ilicic closes the distance.  Golub digs in a right uppercut to Ilicic's ribs.  Golub clinches his opponent.  Golub pushes his forearm into Ilicic's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Golub about fouling.  
Golub tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Golub steps to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Ilicic advances into close range.  Golub pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a solid left uppercut.  
Golub is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Golub lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Golub lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Golub feints a left, and then connects with a cross.  
Golub lands a stinging overhand right.  
Ilicic steps inside.  Golub pivots to the right of his opponent.  Golub lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Golub ties up his opponent.  Golub uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Ilicic's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Golub.  
Golub tries to keep the action at long range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Golub hits home with a sharp cross.  
Golub lands a stinging left hook.  
Golub lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Golub ties up his opponent.  Golub uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Ilicic behind the head. Golub is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Ilicic recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Golub lands a solid overhand right.  
Golub lands an overhand right followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands an overhand right, jab and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Ilicic gets on the inside.  Golub pivots to the side of his opponent.  Ilicic throws a right uppercut, but Golub holds on to his opponent.  Golub pushes his forearm into Ilicic's face.  The ref breaks Golub's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Golub switches the action to the outside.  Golub feints a jab, and then lands an overhand right followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Golub lands a double jab to his opponents body.  
Ilicic tries to land a jab, but Golub blocks the shot and counters with a telling cross.  ILICIC WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Ilicic recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ilicic's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Ilicic's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Ilicic is looking to close the distance.  Golub pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut.

Golub connects with a cross.  
Ilicic gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but Golub clinches his opponent.  Ilicic is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Golub's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Golub connects with a solid overhand right.  
Golub lands a left uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Ilicic forces Golub to retreat onto the ropes.  Golub lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Golub steps to the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Golub is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand right, jab and a cross to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Ilicic almost instantly gets his legs back.
