Kian Hopa vs George Bates

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Vector Arena, Auckland,  taking place on 03/04/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Kian Hopa (27 - 13(5) - 1) who hails from Waitakere, New Zealand and George Bates(19 - 16(1) - 5) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Both Hopa and Bates weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is George Brain, and the three ringside judges are Joey Bridgeforth, Mark Vaux and Matthew Chisholm.
