Phil Ahman vs Hope Emeagwali

Boxing Daily Report from the Skebenga Corp promoted show at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City,  taking place on 01/05/2038:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Nigeria Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Phil Ahman (21(11) - 2(2)) who hails from Bama, Nigeria and Hope Emeagwali(18 - 8(2)) from Ife, Nigeria.  Both Ahman and Emeagwali weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alen Beete, and the three ringside judges are Charles Adelaye, John Okri and Hope Oriala.  

Round 1: 

Ahman advances into close range.  Ahman digs in a solid left hook to Emeagwali's liver.  Ahman attempts to land a right hook, but Emeagwali blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Emeagwali switches the action to the outside and snaps his opponents head back with a hard jab.  
Ahman closes the distance and is on target with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Emeagwali steps away from his opponent and is on target with a jab.  Emeagwali throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.

Ahman steps inside and manages to force Emeagwali into a neutral corner.  Ahman EXPLODES a MASSIVE left hook into his opponents face.  EMEAGWALI IS HURT!  Emeagwali recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Ahman lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Ahman pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ahman dabs at his face checking for damage.

Emeagwali tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a solid cross.  Emeagwali attempts to land an overhand right, but Ahman sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut to Emeagwali's ribs.

Ahman steps inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!

Ahman gets on the inside and forces Emeagwali to retreat onto the ropes.  Emeagwali attempts to land a left hook, but Ahman sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook.
