Phil Blier vs Cuba Villafuerte

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at BMO Field, Toronto,  taking place on 12/05/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Sweet Phil Blier (55(46) - 2 - 1) who hails from Brampton, Canada and Cuba Villafuerte(36(24) - 12(9) - 1) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Blier weighed in at 160 pounds, while Villafuerte weighed in at 159 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is David Raison, and the three ringside judges are Dave Suit, Richie Clasby and Mark Sneden.  

Round 1: 

Villafuerte throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut.

Blier tries to step out of his opponents range.  Villafuerte attempts to land a jab, but Blier slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Blier throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Blier lands two right hooks followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Villafuerte forces Blier to back into the ropes.  Villafuerte lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Villafuerte advances into close range.  Blier digs in a firm left hook to Villafuerte's body.  
Blier switches the action to the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Villafuerte advances into close range.  Blier pivots to the side of his opponent.  Villafuerte throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Villafuerte cuts off the ring, trapping Blier on the ropes.  Villafuerte tries to land a left hook, but Blier sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Blier is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a jab.  Blier attempts to land an overhand left, but Villafuerte slips the shot and counters with a right hook.
