Ponce Quijano vs Santiago Malagon

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Chile-Valparaiso promoted show at Vegas Alvaro Gym, Viba del Mar,  taking place on 17/09/2021:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Chile Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on UCV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ponce Quijano (6 - 1) who hails from Antofagasta, Chile and Santiago Malagon(4 - 0) from Viba del Mar, Chile.  Quijano weighed in at 199 pounds and 8 ounces, while Malagon weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joaquin Batres, and the three ringside judges are Esteban Aragona, Porfio Grullon and Ovidio Armenta.
