Gordon Chalmers vs Jawad Khaleel

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Saudi Arabia-East promoted show at Atif Naqvi Gym, Dammam,  taking place on 17/04/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Saudi Arabia Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Saudi TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are The Scot Gordon Chalmers (32(27) - 9(9)) who hails from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Jawad Khaleel(23(2) - 4(1) - 1) from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.  Both Chalmers and Khaleel weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Tariq Atif, and the three ringside judges are Malik Mansoor, Tariq Fakhoury and Umair Ghulam.  

Round 1: 

Chalmers lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Chalmers forces Khaleel to back into the ropes.  Chalmers is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents liver.  
Khaleel throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Chalmers advances into close range and attempts to land a left uppercut, but Khaleel blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.

Chalmers whips in a hurtful right hook to Khaleel's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE KHALEEL WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Chalmers forces Khaleel to retreat onto the ropes.  Chalmers senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Chalmers lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND DOWN GOES KHALEEL!  He manages to get up at 4.  Khaleel now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Chalmers sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Chalmers lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Chalmers is looking to close the distance and connects with a solid left hook.  
Chalmers closes the distance.  Khaleel tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Chalmers lands two jab's to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Chalmers snaps his opponents head back with a stiff jab.  
Chalmers lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Chalmers closes the distance.  Chalmers sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Khaleel attempts to land a left hook, but Chalmers slips the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Chalmers throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Chalmers digs in a solid left hook to Khaleel's ribs.  
Chalmers sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Khaleel's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Khaleel's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Khaleel throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Chalmers lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
The right shot from Chalmers could be enough to force the stoppage!  Chalmers lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head, KNOCKING KHALEEL DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6. Chalmers connects with a hurtful right hook.  KHALEEL IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE MAKES IT TO ONE KNEE, BUT IS UNABLE TO RISE ANY FURTHER AS THE REF COUNTS 10!  The winner by KO is Chalmers!
